About the Forum

Could your company potentially have a negative impact on human rights? Have you ever asked yourself this question?

The Swiss Forum « Business and Human Rights » 2023 will help you identify the risks arising from your activities and outline solutions to address them. In addition, the Forum will provide information on current legal requirements and the expectations of the Federal Council and offers a unique opportunity to exchange good practices among companies. Business representatives, leaders from different sectors, policy makers, academic and civil society experts are invited to dialogue, debate and present their approaches to pressing human rights issues. You can expect in-depth analyses, engaged plenary discussions, practical examples and interactive workshops on current developments and challenges for companies in the field of business & human rights.

Consumers, investors, and legislators have rising expectations when it comes to responsible business practices. Increasing regulations affect not only large companies, but also SMEs. This Forum provides concrete approaches for integrating human rights issues into corporate management in a sustainable manner and is intended to stimulate initiatives and exchange among the different stakeholders.

The Forum is offered by the SECO and the FDFA as part of the National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights 2020-2023. The objective is to promote good practices and raise awareness among Swiss businesses on human rights due diligence procedures. The Forum is organised and implemented by the UN Global Compact Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein
