Awareness-raising events and training

The Federal Department of Foreign Affairs FDFA and Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research EAER have commissioned twentyfifty, a management consultancy, to conduct awareness-raising events and training on the topic of business and human rights. These events – intended for Swiss companies, trade federations and chambers of commerce – will be held in 2018/2019.

Best practice guide of the SECO and the FDFA for the commodity trading sector

On 28 November 2018, the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) and the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) launched a Guidance on Implementing the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. This best practice guide, produced together with the London-based Institute for Human Rights and Business (IHRB), is the result of a public consultation with NGOs, the private sector and the Geneva cantonal authorities.
